So I've just finished exhibiting and demonstrating an area of my practice at the Saltaire Arts Trial in Bradford this weekend.

An annual multi-arts event featuring Open Houses, a Makers' Fair, an Open Exhibition and Children's Mini Trail in Saltaire, Bradford, West Yorkshire

This is what the organisers had to say about the event
"The event was a phenomenal success with a record number of visitors and record sales. Over the three days, 6500 people streamed into Victoria Hall and spent a staggering £28000 of their hard-earned cash on the beautiful and diverse work that every one of us dedicates our entire existence to creating! These results would not have been possible without the talent, dedication, creativity and enthusiasm of the UK based artists both in Yorkshire and beyond, who brought the best they had to Saltaire this weekend! The presentation of your stands, the diversity and quality of work available and the friendly personalities and atmosphere the event offered were all comments we heard from visitors. organisers from other parts of the trail and artists themselves - you are all amazing!"
Unfortunately they didn't spend all them ££s with me!!
Oh wow a potential customer

I made enough to cover my costs tho and a little bit of pocket change! Saltaire has been the best of the few 'art' and 'craft' fairs' I've contributed to but still not sure Fairs are the forum I'm looking for...but  what is??

Anywho enjoyed my time there, talking to all and sundry about what I do and why and although not lucrative and surprisingly exhausting the experience threw up some new ideas, as many visitors suggested I do classes or workshops so got me some research to do.

Encaustics on the hotray and examples of the rapid studies I did at the fair

Am I sneakin in or out?

Corrupting the next generation!!
Oh children avert your eyes...

“What a lot of talented people, I’m so glad I came to see it.”

“LOVE IT! A nice space for exhibiting – will definitely recommend this to friends. Lovely wide range of styles.”

“Amazing artists!”

These are just some of the many comments received about our 2012 open exhibition. With only seven days of the exhibition remaining, you’ll have to be quick if you want to see it! Don’t miss out – and make sure you cast your vote for your favourite work. The winning artist receives a solo exhibition at The Art Kiosk in 2013
